Six Month Smiles Change Lives

As close to a smile as he got.

Our Dr. Dolfi works with many patients using Six Month Smiles to help them have a smile they can be happy with.

One of the patients was a man who literally said he hadn’t smiled for years.

He was very uncomfortable with what his teeth looked like, and had learned to show his teeth as little as possible.

This man had read about Six Month Smiles and wanted to find out if it was true that front teeth could be made to look good in just six months.

Dr. Dolfi did an examination to see exactly what was happening with this patient’s teeth.

Then he confidently told the patient, “Your teeth will look so well aligned you’re going to want to show them off.”

The work began, and in only half a year as planned, the man who never smiled had teeth he could smile with.

He was very happy with the results and has begun to smile.

2nd Annual Harvesting Hope Food Drive – Oct. 10 thru Nov. 11

C. Ashley Mann, DDS holds their 2nd Annual Harvesting Hope Food Drive

Fall is here again.

As the weather gets cooler and we prepare for winter, we are reminded to be generous.

For one month starting Monday October 10th, our C. Ashley Mann, DDS dental practice in downtown Cary, NC, will host the 2nd annual Harvesting Hope Food Drive, collecting non-perishable foods for the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina.

To encourage donations, we’ve decided once again to draw a winner from the food donors each week and give them a prize. We are posting the winners on our Facebook Page.

We look forward to this time of year with the Food Drive and just after this, the Toys for Tots campaign. Our patients enjoying bringing in donations and we enjoy collecting them.

Our Practice Manager Walks 60 Miles in 3 Days in DC

We’re proud to say that our practice manager Liz Russell and her daughter walked the Susan G. Komen 60 mile – 3 Day for the Cure in Washington DC at the end of September.

Liz said that it was a very very moving experience. A whole community of people come out to support the walkers. Those who had recovered from breast cancer wore shirts of a different color and were celebrated. Men dressed up in funny clown costumes in support roles, encouraging the women as they walked, offering good cheer.

We’re very grateful to have Liz on our team, as you can see from doing a 60 mile walk in 3 days, she really goes the distance.

Welcome Laura Lineberger to the C. Ashley Mann, DDS Team

Laura Lineberger, new on the C. Ashley Mann, DDS team

Welcome Laura Lineberger. We’re delighted she’s joined us and there’s a good story here too!

Laura’s from Raleigh, born and raised, though she’s lived in Cary for some time. Her oldest brother went to school with Dr. Mann. When her childhood dentist retired and she was researching dentists, she saw Dr. Ashley Mann’s name online and she recognized him. She made the call and has been a patient for six years!

In the fall last year, Laura was changing jobs, and at her six month cleaning appointment, she mentioned that she’d like to work with us if we ever had an opening. “I told them, I thought this would be a really great place to work,” Laura said.

Flash forward six more months to her next cleaning appointment. Laura talked to one of the team members again. “I like this office and your team so when you have an opening, I hope you’ll consider me. I’d really like to work here.”

You may be talking to Laura when you call in, check in and check out.

This time there was a need for a new team member, so our practice manager, Liz Russell, invited her in, and the rest is history.

What attracted her to working in our office?

“Dr. Mann is very caring, and everyone here is friendly. On top of that, I’m really into computers and technology, and their office has the latest and the greatest – the same things that impressed me as a patient, impressed me as a place to work,” said Laura.
