The NC Baptist Men have a Mobile Medical and Dental Clinic in a bus which serves the under-served.
We’re proud that members of our team at C. Ashley Mann, DDS, volunteer individually and as a group. Recently one of our dental hygienists, Stacy Hudson, volunteered to help provide dental care with the NC Baptist Men’s Medical Bus, a mobile medical and dental office.
Stacy wrote:
“On Saturday March 26,2011 I volunteered on the NC Baptist Men’s Medical Dental Bus. This bus travels to churches throughout North Carolina providing dental care to patients in the community. Local dentists, hygienists, and assistants volunteer their time. Members of the churches also volunteer to help the dental providers.
I volunteered because I wanted to help those who are not able to afford dental care. This time, instead of working as a hygienist, I helped one of the dentists with fillings and an extraction. It was a great experience for me to see a different side of dentistry.
All together, we served 22 patients with 15 cleanings and 14 dental procedures. I look forward to volunteering again.”
